ALREADY RICHER began with a single stubborn refusal — the refusal to accept that a bank balance was the measure of a man. That a job title, a follower count, a car in a driveway, could tell you anything true about the wealth of the person driving it.

We watched the culture confuse the receipt with the meal. We watched people work their entire lives to signal an inner state they had never actually built. And we decided to design for the opposite path — for the ones who build the state first, and let the world catch up on its own time.
